The sun at your fingertips
Exploring the context between the planets in our solar system, driven by curiosity and excitement. uSPHERE explains the laws of gravity on a stunning venue with interactive planets to touch.
The user in his space shuttle goes on an exciting journey through our solar system on a multi-touch table. In the process he discovers new knowledge and saves the Earth from a boss of antimatter.uSPHERE is an interactive simulation of our solar system. Due to the change of mass, density and velocity of the planets, the user can explore the impact of small changes and experience the fragility of our environment. Even the time is under his control.
In an implemented game you control a space shuttle across the universe and always gather more information. Those mastering all the missions win the corresponding Android app (prototype). My Involvements

DadaBotDadaBot is a gesture driven drawing robot using Kinect and Arduino.
Fun Interactive Installation
Designed for modern museums, Dadabot draws an individual work of art with each user. The user controls the roboter over the drawing area using his arms and hands. This paints an image with various tools such as brushes or pens.A Microsoft Kinect camera records the user in his movements. A patch in the software VVVV analyzes these movements and transmitts them to the Dadabot via Bluetooth. The Dadabot converts the signals using its three engines (2 stepper, 1 servo) into physical movements, drawing an image.

A shopping app for men
When we dealt with the subject of shopping, we divided the "shoppers" into two groups. We found that one group is inspired during shopping, while the other already has a precise idea about the clothes and they're searching determined. For the second group - which consists mostly of men - there is still no solution to find this special dress precisely and quickly without waiting any order or hours walking through shopping centers. That is why we have created Columbus.Mobile shopping
The interface offers a very specific and straightforward search for garments and leads the user either directly to the next shop, reminds him when he is near or orders it online directly and uncomplicated. My Involvements

Adaptive SpicesCooking inspiration adapted to you

Cooking inspiration adapted to youNever having to search for new recipes again, but finding the ones that suit you best. The adaptive spice shelf, developed in the course "Adaptive User Interfaces" in the third semester of my studies, remembers your food taste in order to recommend you new recipes.
When cooking, each spice used is automatically recorded and evaluated. When you then open the corresponding iPad app, you get suggestions for dishes that suit your taste.
If you are bored from your standard cooking behavior try the experimental mode! Here dishes that differ from your everyday cooking routine are recommended in order to bring new inspiration into your kitchen.
The system learns continuously while used and also noticed changes in taste that might occur quickly with so much new inspiration on hand.We built a working prototype and were amazed how good it works. Simply cook as you always do and never worry about good recipes!

About me
Hey, I hope you liked my projects!
My name is Alex and I study Interactive Media Design in Germany. I love to experiment with new kinds of interfaces and interactions in the physical and digital world. Driven by my curiosity, I always play with things that inspire me. Building physical prototypes with arduino boards or designing new interfaces and interactions - searching for the best user experience.
I'm very passionate and my biggest strength is learning things very fast when they're interesting to me.
I am:
- 22 years old
- Designer & Coder
- open-minded
- team-player
- arduino addicted
